Bolton, MA and San Antonio, TX, January 24, 2011 — Intrinsic Imaging LLC, a leading imaging core lab, announces today it has established the Intrinsic Imaging Center Consortium. This global consortium consists of state-of-the-art medical imaging centers qualified, standardized and integrated by Intrinsic Imaging to participate in Phase I-IV multi-center clinical trials.

Intrinsic's Imaging Center Consortium will consist of imaging centers located around the world with expertise in all trial imaging modalities and techniques, including but not limited to CT, MRI, MRA, DCMRI, Nuclear Medicine, MUGA, SPECT, DEXA, PET, PET-CT, Ultrasound and CR and DR radiography.

Intrinsic Imaging is ideally positioned to establish, validate and integrate this global consortium of imaging centers. Its team of more than sixty sub-specialized, board-certified radiologists have overseen millions of examinations over the years at their more than twenty state-of-the-art medical imaging centers, one of the largest such privately owned practices in the United States.

This experience provides Intrinsic with an in-depth understanding of the current capabilities of imaging equipment, protocol execution and imaging qualification, all essential elements when conducting a successful clinical trial.

"Clinical Trial Sponsors greatly benefit from partnering with Intrinsic Imaging and its global imaging center consortium," said Amit Mehta, M.D., Vice President & Medical Director. "Our expertise as leading sub-specialty radiologists provides us with deep therapeutic experience across multiple vendors' imaging equipment."

Qualified, standardized and integrated global imaging centers play a critical role in the efficient and cost effective performance of multi-center clinical trials. Within clinical trials, medical imaging has increasingly become widely implemented as it enables rapid image evaluation with visualization and qualitative and/or quantitative assessments.

In contrast to traditional clinical endpoints, medical imaging biomarkers and surrogate endpoints have proven to be strong indicators of pharmacological response to a therapy and/or progression of disease that may not be detected by more subjective, traditional approaches.

"Our deep radiology experience in managing our own imaging centers, coupled with our unique imaging technology, allows us to readily evaluate, partner and integrate effectively with other world class imaging centers while conducting efficient and cost effective multi-center clinical trials throughout the world," says Todd A. Joron, President and COO.

Imaging centers that would like to join the Intrinsic Imaging Center Consortium and be considered to participate in clinical trials may apply by completing consortium registration.
