Philip Russell, MBA, CMPE, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Russell has over 30 years of experience in clinical laboratory operations, radiology operations management, and executive leadership. He has led the growth of South Texas Radiology Group. It is one of America's premier private practice radiology organizations.
Mr. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Indiana University. He is a Certified Medical Practice Executive in the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
Mr. Russell has held several positions. These include National President of the Radiology Business Management Association. He has lectured at meetings of the Radiological Society of North America, the Radiology Business Management Association, and the American College of Radiology. He has also written several management articles for these organizations.
Mr. Russell currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Intrinsic. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer of South Texas Radiology Group in San Antonio, Texas.
Todd A. Joron, BSc, MBA, President & COO
Mr. Joron has 31 years of experience within international Contract Research Organizations (CROs). He specializes in designing, developing, and delivering advanced technology solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
Mr. Joron was most recently Corporate Vice President within PAREXEL (NASDAQ: PRXL). PAREXEL is one of the world's largest public CROs. At PAREXEL, Mr. Joron was General Manager of their Perceptive eClinical technology division. He drove significant growth of their global offerings. These included medical imaging core labs, Clinical Trial Management Systems, Interactive Voice Response Systems, and Integration Services.
Mr. Joron was previously Vice President and Scientific Director of the Life Sciences Division at Management Science Associates, Inc. He was also Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TissueInformatics Inc. He served as President and CEO of BiblioMondo.
Mr. Joron was also General Manager of the Scientific Software Division within Phoenix International Life Sciences (now MDS Pharma). It is a large multi-national CRO.
Mr. Joron holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and in Biology. He also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration.
Neal Dalrymple, M.D., Chair, Intrinsic Scientific Advisory Board
Dr. Dalrymple received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in diagnostic radiology at Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a focused year of body cross-sectional imaging at Yale. He wrote one of the 10 most cited articles in the urology literature.
Dr. Dalrymple is an expert in oncological imaging. He has written many journal articles. He was a member of the Genitourinary Scientific Committee for the Radiological Society of North America. He performed peer review for the American Journal of Roentgenology and RadioGraphics. He was also an examiner for the American Board of Radiology.
He served as Vice Chairman of Radiology and Residency Program Director at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He recently published his first textbook, "Problem Solving in Abdominal Imaging."
Richard Benedikt, M.D., MBA, Medical Director, Breast Imaging
Dr. Benedikt completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He was Chief Resident there. He served as Chief of Thoracic Imaging and Chief of Ultrasound at Brooke Army Medical Center.
Dr. Benedikt was a research fellow at McLean Hospital (Harvard Medical School) for 2 years. He has taken part in clinical trials for over 15 years. He has written or co-written over 25 publications.
He has completed human research trials as well as clinical imaging research. He reviews manuscripts for 2 major radiology journals, AJR and JACR. Dr. Benedikt also holds an MBA from the University of Texas.
Jack Clement, M.D., Ph.D., Medical Director, Musculoskeletal Imaging
Dr. Clement is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. The National Institutes of Health sponsored his training there.
Dr. Clement has co-written peer reviewed research articles in Science, New England Journal of Medicine, and Neuron. After his graduate and medical training, he completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine.
He then further subspecialized in musculoskeletal radiology at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital in Bolton, Massachusetts. He is a board-certified radiologist. He has specialized training in orthopedic radiology and interventional pain management.
James Dix, M.D., Medical Director, Neurology and Neurological Imaging
Dr. Dix is a graduate of Georgia State University. He attended medical school at Emory University. He completed his radiology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. He then completed a 2 year neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Dix has written multiple peer reviewed articles on neuroradiology and neurosurgery. He has developed and published new techniques for percutaneous cement fixation of sacral and pelvic fractures. He lectures nationally on advanced imaging techniques for radiologists and neurosurgeons.
He is board-certified in radiology. He also holds a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in neuroradiology.
Michael Lane, M.D., Medical Director, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging
Dr. Lane is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Omaha. He completed his M.D. degree at University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha.
Dr. Lane has co-written 39 peer reviewed original research articles, 4 book chapters, and more than 80 abstract presentations in radiology journals and texts.
After medical school, Dr. Lane completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Stanford. He then further subspecialized in body MR imaging at Stanford University. He spent 4 years at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. There he continued his cardiovascular MRI and CT research.
He is a board-certified radiologist. He has specialized training in adult and pediatric congenital heart disease.
Amit Mehta, M.D., D.A.B.R., D.C.B.N.C., F.R.C.P., Medical Director, Medical Device and Interventional Therapies
Dr. Mehta completed his residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
He is double boarded and specialty certified in diagnostic radiology and vascular interventional radiology. He holds this certification in both Canada and the USA.
He has widely published in radiology. He served as a peer reviewer for Radiographics. He has written three books in Radiology. He has published CD-ROMs for radiology education. He has also run several CME courses on computer applications in medicine and radiology.
He received the George Brown and Radiological Society of North America awards for his research. He holds a Certificate of Additional Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
Todd Tibbetts, M.D., Ph.D., Medical Director, Oncology and Thoracic/Abdominal Imaging
Dr. Tibbetts completed his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at Baylor College of Medicine. The National Institutes of Health Medical Scientist Training Program sponsored his training. His doctoral degree is in cell and molecular biology. It led to several peer reviewed, original research articles.
After medical school, Dr. Tibbetts completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He then further subspecialized in abdominal radiology at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital.
He is board-certified in diagnostic radiology. He has subspecialized training in body imaging and a clinical focus on oncology imaging.
